How to take a screenshot on Windows and Server 2016 or any other windows operating system. Simple steps are mentioned in this article to capture the screenshots.
In today’s world one wants to capture everything, isn’t it? Well there are 3 ways one can capture screenshots in windows 10, first way using the PrtScr key in the keyboard, the second way is using the Snipping too and 3rth method is Game DVR option, one can choose keyboard shortcuts with a game bar in windows 10, let’s discuss these in details.
Option 1: Screenshots using print screen PrtScr key.
We have a PrtScr key in the keyboard to take screenshots quickly, all you need to do just hit that key then your desktop screen will be captured in the clipboard, it will look like nothing, but the screen has been captured, you can open MSPaint and press Control key +V (paste) then captured screen will be appeared in MSPaint window, you can save it too.
If you don’t want to go to MSPaint and directly want to save it then you have to press the “Windows logo key + PrtScn.” If you are using a tablet, press the “Windows logo button + volume down button, you will notice a flash blink screen as you hit these keys which means the current desktop screen has been captured, you can find these in C:\users\Raj\Pictures\Screensots, that’s it.
Option 2 Take screenshots using Microsoft Snipping Tool
Microsoft has come up with a great screenshot taking the tool in windows 10, I personally use it many times on a daily basis to capture the screenshot undoubtedly it’s a great tool and a free tool. The cool feature of this tool is the delay option, this allows us to capture screenshots of pop-up menus and tooltips, etc.
How to Use the Snipping Tool.
To open the snipping tool click on start menu, windows accessories and then snipping tool or you can just type in snipping tool in start menu address bar then click on it. Now click on new to start capturing the screenshots, your mouse pointer icon changes to a plus symbol then you have to hold it from where you want to start and then leave where you want to stop capturing, then you can save it or modify as per your need, it’s easy.
Option 3: Using keyboard shortcuts with Game Bar.
In windows 10 there is an application called Xbox for gaming, DVR options allow to record gameplay footage and one can also take screenshots of games, generally, these formats are in PNG and saved in C:\user\username\ Videos\Captures it’s a great tool one wants to capture his gaming milestones with a screenshot, all cool stuff in windows 10.
