When you want to check the IP address of any computer or your local machine then there is a simple way you can check, here are the steps.
Method 1
Click on the start menu and type run to open run window and then type CMD, it will bring you to a command prompt window, then type a command ipconfig hit enter you will see the IP address on your screen as output.

Method 2
NCPA.CPL Command.
Open Control Panel, click on Network and Internet and Network Connections, select your active network adaptor. One can also open network connections using the command ncpa.cpl, double click on the adaptor to open the network properties and double click on Internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4), then you will find an IP address, please see the screenshot below.
