How to Map a Network Drive | Share

How to Map a Network Drive on Windows 10 or any other window server operating system, here are simple steps to map any network drive or path with drive desired letter.

You can easily map any network share or path, here are the simple steps help you to map in windows 10 or any other machine like windows server 2016 or 2012, the process is same for all Windows machines.

Step 1

Open This PC in file explorer, just hit Windows key + E it will open the file explorer, then click on This PC, please the screenshot below.

Step 2

Click on Computer Menu, then click on Map network drive, Map network,.

Step 3

Give the path of your net work drive in folder box and click on finish, will find the network drive mapped, open This PC in file explorer to see all mapped drives.

Step 4 Verification:

Open This PC in file explorer to see all mapped drives, just hit Windows key + E it will open the file explorer, then click on This PC, see the screenshot.

Verification using NET USE Command

we need to open command prompt first, Click on Start and type run and hit enter

Then type in  “command prompt” or “cmd” in run command box and then hit enter it opens command prompt window, now type  NET USE and press enter, the command returns all the mapped network shared drive paths will be displayed, please see the screenshot for how it looks.
