How to Start Computer in Safe Mode | Windows 10 | 7 to troubleshoot any underlying issue with drivers or application service, here are the simple steeps to enter safe mode.
When there is an issue with your desktop machine as windows 10 or 7 installed, and you want to troubleshoot the issue to determine whether it is related to a hardware driver or a service that is newly installed and causing the issue.
Safe mode basically loads some limited set of files and drivers, here are the steps to start the computer in safe mode.
Method 1
Restart your computer and keep pressing the F8 key on your keyboard, then you will get the below screen
Use your keyboard arrow keys to select the safe mode option and hit enter then your computer starts in safe mode.
Method 2
Using Msconfig Command
If you are using windows 10 just click on the start menu and start typing MSconfig you will find a system configuration option, click on it to open it.
If you are using windows 8 users, just click on the start menu and start typing system configuration you will find a system configuration option, click on it to open it.
As for windows 7 users, it is the same as above.
As for windows 98 and windows XP users, they have to open run command and type in MSConfig to system configuration.
Let’s discuss how it works.
Once the system configuration is opened, click on the boot tab, in bottom left side corner you will find an option Safe Boot check this box and restart your computer, basically you are forcing your computer to boot in safe mode after the restart, remember when you fix the issue you need to uncheck this box to get into a normal boot, see the below screenshot.
